The slopes of Blue Mountain are nestled in a prominent section of the Niagara Escarpment between Collingwood and Thornbury. In 1941 Jozo Weider began developing Blue Mountain Ski Resort. By the mid 1950’s the development started to quickly expand and began to interest patrons from all over Ontario. Today Blue Mountain is Ontario’s largest mountain village resort with 5 High- speed chairlifts, 1 Quad, Triple, and Double lifts as well as 5 surface lifts(Magic Carpets) and 42 named trails. The Village has something to offer to everyone and has truly become a 4 seasons recreation area. Restaurants, shoppes, bars/lounges and activities can be found around almost every corner.
